How to make a Neopets Blog
PSP 7-8 (Get a free trial here)
Your sample image (download that here)
Patience, and lots of imagination!
Before Beginning:
Don't be afraid to experiment with some things. It doesn't hurt to try a new effect with your layout, or even some new dot in the middle of it. Remember there's always the back button so you can erase it later! And this is actually really easy, so don't be afraid that your going to mess this up. I do realize that the picture is cheesy, but guess what, its a test/example.
Plus, I'm here for ya'll all the way!
Part 1
Open up your sample image
Resize the image to 498 x 315
Next you decorate you image! I used adobe photo-shop to decorate mine, of course this is completely optional. You may decorate it however you like. I used a couple of brushes. Check out the links section to get some cool places to get brushes.
Make a new layer
Now,
what you want to do now, is select your selection tool, after this, you will
need to drag the the marching ants across the picture to the desired amount
you want to color.
Alrighty, now select a color you would like to use. I used #ABDAB3.
After selecting the color you want, select the paint bucket tool.
Fill in the marching ants area. Be sure the opacity is at 50% though, otherwise, it may look ugly and distorted.
After this your going to want to outline your filled in area. Use the selection tool and right click on your picture. This will make the marching ants go away.
Now, you want to use your draw tool, or paint brush. Pick another color slightly darker then the first. I chose #6DE57E
So now you have your new color, ready to move on? Great, make a outline around your filled in area, to create a border. Makes it look nice while sort of separating it from the rest of the photo.
Alright so your done with that, congrats, were done with PSP. That is unless you want to add your logo to your picture so no one will steal it. But I don't think you should with the sample Pic. Because its one of my blogs! ^.^ No Stealing!
Alright then, this part may be difficult if you don't know any HTML. Don't know any? Here are some good links to go to if you don't, if so, continue on!
This is my final product for the psp part of the tutorial
